Production & Pre-Press Services FAQs:
1. What is Production and Pre-Press?
Production includes the activities in the writing process that impact how you market your work later and what type of reader you'll be selling to. Pre-Press is that scary place after completing your manuscript and having it go to publication.
Most writers don't think about the issues and tasks during these parts of the process and almost always need a little guidance. It's a good thing that you've got Write On Press.
1. What do I get in a Publishing Consultation?
After scheduling a one-hour consultation, you'll meet with a Write On Press publisher at our offices in the New Orleans CBD. When you are done, you'll have enough info to chart a clear path to publication and promotion of your manuscript. You'll also be able to book a follow up even if you decide not to publish with us.

1. Why do I need you to format my manuscript?
Since you want your work to look as professional as possible and avoid rejections from digital distributors, you'll want to have someone format your manuscript. You absolutely can format your work on your own or have another professional do the work. In fact, we can recommend a few. However, we know that this is a very important part of the Pre-Press process and many of our authors just prefer someone they trust handle the job.
2. What happens after I receive my formatted manuscript?
If you want Write On Press to publish your work give us a shout and we'll take care of you. If not, you can self publish (we can offer advice and direction if you choose) or you can opt for a number of other professional publishing options.
1. What is included in the cover art service?

2. What if I'm not happy with the final product?
After the initial art is submitted for your review, you can request up to two revisions. If we're not able to make you happy, we'll give you a 75% refund.
3. Can I use an image that I already have for my cover art?
You absolutely can! In fact, you can submit graphic images or photos (that you have rights to), sketches or illustrations that you want worked into the cover design. We'll do our best to create something attractive and marketable for your work.
